The exhibition presents photos of the Munich 1972 Olympic Games by Edi Šelhaus, one of the legends of Slovene wartime and post-war photo journalism, selected from the extensive Šelhaus’ collection. The exhibited photos present some Slovene, Yugoslav and other sportspersons including Yugoslav holders of Olympic medals, boxers Mate Parlov (gold) and Zvonko Vujin (bronze), handball team (gold) and wrestlers Josip Čorak (silver) and Milan Nenadić (bronze) and some legendary international sportspersons such as Lasse Virén, Valerij Borzov, Mark Spitz, Shane Gould, Olga Korbut, Ljudmila Turiščeva, Heide Rosendahl, Kipchoge Keino, Renate Stecher, Ljudmila Bragina and many others. The exhibition presents also the tragedy that shook the whole world, various interesting events and moments, from behind the scenes as well as from everyday life in the Olympic village, some sporting legends, including Jesse Owens, Abebe Bikila and Emil Zatopek, and some other documentary and audio/video material.
