Public tour of the temporary exhibition: GIVE US FREEDOM OF THOUGHT. Schiller's Drama in Slovenia

Slovenian Theatre Institute

Guided Tour / 13.03.2025, 11:00 - 12:00

Slovenians have often translated and performed the works of the great German playwright Friedrich Schiller (1759-1805). The first translations date back to the 1840s, and exactly 150 years ago, in the spring of 1875, the singer, actor and director Josip Nolli staged The Robbers in his own translation. With the exhibition marking the 220th anniversary of Schiller's death, we want to draw attention to his early presence in Slovenian culture and his influence on our literature and theatre.

The author of the exhibition, Katarina Kocijančič, will take you through the exhibition.

Free admission, you are cordially invited!
