In the painting Tihožitje s trnki (Still Life with Fishhooks) we recognize the table in the depiction of a big white rectangle with four long and thin stripes. On the table are set fishing equipment, fish and other items. The objects on the table and four lines that represent the legs of a table, keep this painting from complete abstraction. The motif of the table with still life and the use of white colour is reminiscent of the works of Gabriel Stupica, who was Borčič's professor; therefore the image can be understood as the artist's dedication to his professor.
