On 19 June 2021, the Community of Museums of Slovenia is organizing the 19th Museum Summer Night, in which 76 museums and galleries will take part this year and events will take place in as many as 158 venues. The participating institutions organized almost 300 different events.
The Community of Museums of Slovenia, which otherwise lost the financial support of the Ministry of Culture in 2021, continues to work actively in the field of education and promotion of museums, galleries and cultural heritage. Together with the Museum of National Liberation Maribor, which has been coordinating this project for the last few years, they have prepared a national campaign Museum Summer Night for the nineteenth time in a row.
This year, a large number of museums and galleries (as many as 76) joined this extremely successful campaign, and events will be organized at 158 venues - memorial rooms, memorial houses, exhibition spaces, etc. Between 18:00 and 24:00, 297 different special events will take place, and free admission is available to all, including those who prefer to explore history and art on their own. Exhibition openings, children's and family workshops, concerts, guided tours, etc. will be available.
The largest Slovenian museum campaign, Museum Summer Night, is intended for the promotion of museums and galleries and Slovenian cultural heritage. It is just one of the campaigns organized by the Community of Museums of Slovenia in cooperation with museums and galleries. It is also the most visited event, with around 40,000 visitors visiting museums and galleries every six hours a year.

Next year we will celebrate 20 years of this remarkable project and certainly the museums and galleries will be especially well prepared for this anniversary.
