The exhibition Cveta Mirnik: Costume Designer and Her World presents the work of costume designer Cveta Mirnik (1951–2021), who created over forty-five costume designs for Slovenian theaters, film, and television. She worked in the theaters of Celje, Nova Gorica, Maribor, and Ptuj, as well as in the Ljubljana City Theatre and the SNT Drama Ljubljana. Her dedication to creation is also revealed through costume sketches that were never brought to life on stage. The exhibition features costume sketches from the collections of the Slovenian Theatre Institute and the Intermunicipal Public Library Žalec, as well as costumes designed by Cveta Mirnik for the SNT Nova Gorica.
During the public tour, the exhibition’s author, museum advisor Tea Rogelj, MA, will guide you into the world of costume designer Cveta Mirnik.
Admission is free!
The exhibition at SLOGA is part of the inter-institutional project Cveta Mirnik: Costume Designer and Her World, a collaboration between the Slovenian Theatre Institute, the Intermunicipal Public Library Žalec, and the Institute for Culture, Sports, and Tourism Žalec. The project also includes an exhibition on view until May 8, 2026, at the Savin Art Salon, a traveling exhibition, and a joint exhibition catalog.
